Terms of use

Terms for using the Check a result add-ins and the tools on rafikiardhi.earth.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms apply to the Check a result add-ins for Microsoft Office (the “add-ins”) and the tools and checks on rafikiardhi.earth, provided by RafikiArdhi LLC, Colorado, USA (“RafikiArdhi”, “we”). By using them you agree to these terms.

What the tools do

The add-ins and website tools check the plausibility of results, calculations and equations in research. They are an aid to your own judgement. A check that passes does not prove a result is right, and a check that flags a problem does not prove it is wrong. You remain responsible for your work and for any decisions you make based on it.

The free version

The free version is free for anyone to use, for personal, academic and commercial work. We will keep improving it, but new features are added to the paid version only. Try the free version first to see whether it is enough for you.

Use

You may not copy, resell or redistribute the add-ins or their code, remove our notices, or use them to break the law. Please cite the add-in as shown in its footer when it contributes to published work.

Licence keys

Each purchase comes with a licence key. A key is for one person: you may use it on all your own computers, but you may not share, publish or resell it. We may switch off a key that is shared or misused.

R in Excel

The Excel add-in’s R tab runs R code that you write or choose. You are responsible for the code you run and its results.

  • Built-in R runs inside the add-in’s panel using webR, open-source software from the R project, downloaded from the webR servers the first time you use it. R packages you load come from the webR package repository.
  • My R runs your code in your own installation of R on your computer, through a script you choose to run from our website (rafikiardhi-connect.R). It only listens on your own computer, only answers the add-in, and needs a one-time code; it ends when you run disconnect() or close R. The code runs with the same permissions as your own R session.

R, webR and R packages are third-party software under their own licences.

Changes and availability

We may change, improve or withdraw features. We aim to keep the free version available but cannot guarantee that any tool will always be online or error-free.

No warranty and limited liability

The add-ins and tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, RafikiArdhi is not liable for any loss arising from their use.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
