Where We Work

More than places on a map
The places where we work are more than locations where research happens. They are landscapes we have learned from, communities we have worked alongside and relationships that continue long after individual projects end.
Each place has shaped how we approach science in a different way. Some have taught us to look at familiar problems differently; others have shown us the value of local knowledge, shared experience and working with what is available rather than assuming that better science always requires more technology.

We created these pages to share some of those experiences. They are not intended to be complete histories of our research or lists of projects and achievements. Instead, they offer glimpses of the people, places and ideas that have influenced how we work today and what makes our approach different.
The work continues
A project may end, a research appointment may change or we may move on to another landscape. The knowledge and relationships built along the way do not simply disappear.
RafikiArdhi carries that spirit forward: making knowledge accessible, sharing useful tools and creating opportunities for the next generation.

These pages are part of that story, and the story is still being written.
Places that shaped our research
These are the stories:
Where are we going?
We don’t know exactly where we’re going. But we’re going.
